HG tile protector is an easy-to-apply liquid polymer emulsion for all types of floor tiles, flagstones and slate. After drying, this emulsion forms a shiny and wafer-thin, but extremely strong protective film, protecting the tile against stains, soiling, scratches and wear, while also enhancing its colour and structure. This protective film also gives an anti-slip effect.
Application
HG tile protective film with silk gloss (product 14) is a unique and easy-to-apply polymer emulsion for all types of floor tiles, flagstones and slate. After drying, this liquid emulsion forms a shiny and wafer-thin, but extremely strong protective film. It protects the floor tiles against wear, scratches and other damage. It also enhances the colour and structure of the floor tiles. This protective film for floor tiles, flagstones and slate also masks existing wear marks and gives an anti-slip effect. 1 litre is good for approximately 40m2 per coat.
Instructions for use
- Surface must be completely clean, grease- and dust-free
- The glue/soil and joints of new floors must be fully cured and dry
- This usually requires 4-6 weeks drying time
- Existing, still porous floors must be completely dry after cleaning
- Floor heating must be switched off for at least 12 hours before treatment with this product
- Porous floors must first be treated with HG tile impregnating protector (product 13)
- Do not shake before use and preferably apply with a wax dispenser (see illustration on front of bottle)
- If desired, a clean, lint-free (tea) cloth wrapped around a squeegee can also be used
- On a coarse surface, use a paint roller (fur roller)
- Pour the liquid onto the floor and spread in straight lines in one direction, do not twist or rub
- When the product has dried (after about 40 minutes), a second coat can be applied at right angles to the first coat
- Approximately 3 hours after the last treatment the floor can be walked on normally and is fully cured after 3 days
- Consumption: 80 m² per 2 litres per coat
